Timber quays, fog signals at dawn, and rooms named for the tide. Halvern Quay sits in the harbour district as a quiet gateway for travellers who want salt air and unhurried ledgers before stepping toward the bright casino destination across the basin.
We are not a tower on the strip. We are the place you return to when the rope walk ends — chandlery scents in the corridor, brass lamps at half-mast brightness, and a kitchen that opens when the first trawlers tie off.

Rooms
Sleep tied to the tide
Four room types — Fog Signal Suite, Rope Walk Chamber, Chandlery Loft, Tide Chart Room — each with harbour-facing shutters, wool blankets, and a tide table pinned by the desk lamp. Check-in from 15:00; quiet hours begin at 22:30.
Smoked mackerel on rye at 07:30, pot-roast halibut by candlelight at 19:00. Two kitchens: one full-service dining room aboard the spirit of a converted drifter, one counter for bouillabaisse cups and ship biscuit.
Fog signal practice from the pier — two short blasts, then silence. Coffee service begins at Quay Provisions.
Chandlery Loft turnovers: fresh linen, tide charts updated for the afternoon ebb.
Harbour lamps lit along the walkway. The Gaff opens reservations for the 19:00 sitting.
Chart Room jazz — vinyl only, no amplification beyond the back bar. Optional 18+ gaming in Harrow Deck; never required for your stay.
Evenings belong to After Dark — culture first, gaming optional and separate.
Harbour district
Halvern Quay, harbour district — mooring rings still visible under the cobbles, boat sheds converted to reading nooks. Trams stop at Pier 4; the walk from the central ferry terminal takes twelve minutes along the rope walk.
